•Method Man and Redman at The Depot

As many would agree, the only Wu-Tang Clan member that matters along with ol’ Redman will hit the stage at The Depot. You know them from their Blackout album and from the film and short-lived TV show, “How High.” Now you can know them from that time they played a show at The Depot.

•Bone Thugs-n-Harmony at Park City Live

Wake up, wake up! It’s Bone in Park City. Oh, how I remember my days working at Media Play in the music department and all the grandmothers that came in looking for “Tha Crossroads.” We sold a lot of edited version of that album. Well, granny can’t get this shit edited when it’s live on stage, so stay home.  PROTIP: get mezzanine tickets for optimal viewing.

•University of Utah vs. Oregon Ducks at Rice-Eccles Stadium

Currently, 11 in the coaches poll, though I am not sure I have forgiven them against the loss again Washington, will take on Oregon this Saturday. Every time this happens we have all those smug Ducks fans walking around downtown. Be nice to them. The country is divided enough.

•Gogol Bordello at In the Venue

Gypsy punk. If you haven’t seen it, you haven’t seen it, but you should see it. Eugene Hutz and his motley band of musicians will whirl your dervish and leave you wanting more. This is a 100% show you should not miss. I have seen this band 10 times for good reason, there is nothing like them touring (at least not in Utah) right now.

•Trans-Siberian Orchestra: The Ghost of Christmas Eve at Vivint Smart Home Arena

Do you miss Liberace and Type O Negative a little more than normal this time of year? You know you do. Since Gogol Bordello is in town, you’re pretty much going to that. However, if for some reason it sells out you could go to this. I am just saying that you have options.
